Community First Funding

At the end of 2014 Xpress-Yourself were approached by South Yardley Library to deliver a dance exercise class with funding that they had received from Community First.

The dancers enjoyed learning an array of different dances from freestyle dance to the music of The Bee Gees, Abba and T.Rex, Line dances, Rock 'n' Roll and even a few Latin dances as part of the weekly warm up.

The sessions were well attended with at least ten dancers each week, ladies who were 40 +.

The group will be meeting for a Christmas Dance social on the 30th November to learn a Christmas Merengue and enjoy a mince pie (or two!). The sessions will continue in the New Year independently run by Xpress-Yourself, dates and times to be confirmed.

A big thank you South Yardley Library and Community First.

Keep Dancing continues to run at South Yardley Library on a Thursday 11:15-12:15, and the group continues to grow and flourish in their dancing abilities.
