Keep Dancing

Dance is a great way to be active, its fun too!

It can be difficult to find the time for regular exercise,  and doing it alone is no fun either, but a fun and friendly dance class can do wonders for the body a soul!

You see, dance has many benefits to our physical health, our mental wellbeing, improve communication and even make us more creative. It exercises your body, your grey matter, and your laughing muscles too.

What others are saying

Sisters Barbara and Eileen have been coming to Marston Green for the last four years. Barbara says it makes you feel "on top the tree!"

Shirley is a Keep Dancing regular and has been coming along to the class for over two years.

Been going over a year now to classes at Marston Green Parish Hall and just love it. Gentle exercise which takes in all the joints of the body and then really fun dance routines which at first you think you will never master but with Faye's patients we all master!

You can come on your own or with friends and the classes are never, ever boring, I urge you all to come and try.

I joined this dance class several months ago and would recommend it anyone. My name is Janet and I am 69 years of age.

Obviously like so many people of my age I have aches and pains. Mine are mainly due to arthritis. However, since being at the class I feel fitter and more agile than I have felt in a long time.

The class lasts for an hour. During this time we do a gentle warm up routine. This is followed by us learning a new dance. So far, over the months, we’ve done a Cha-cha , Tango, Street Dance and a Line Dance just to name a few. Finally, we do a gentle cool down routine, by which time the hour is over and the class has finished.

Faye, our teacher runs a super class and is mindful of all our capabilities and will adjust the routine if necessary or give an alternative move if she feels we will manage better. My eight year old granddaughter comes with me in the school holidays. She loves it and joins in, which goes to show how versatile our class is.

Thank you, Faye
